Leslie C. Ricketts was a member of Lehigh's Class of '22. As an undergraduate, Ricketts participated in football, wrestling and track, and was a member of the Interfraternity Council and the Mechanical Engineering Society. In addition, he was a member of the Theta Xi fraternity.
After 34 years with Worthington Corporation, Ricketts retired as senior group vice president of operations. He then became chairman and chief executive officer of Radiant Lamp, Inc., which manufactures incandescent and mercury vapor lamps. He led the company to its acquisition by North American Philips Corporation. Ricketts retired to Vero Beach, Fla., where he became an active investor in citrus groves and in an offshore treasure hunting venture. Ricketts passed away in 1983.
