Dale S. Strohl graduated from Lehigh in 1958 with a degree in psychology. During his time as an undergraduate, he was a member of the Alpha Lambda Omega fraternity. After Strohl graduated, he served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961. In 1967, he began working for Avon Products, Inc. as an area director of Human Resources. After 17 years at Avon, he went to work for Tiffany & Co. until he retired in 1998 as Senior Vice President of Operations and Human Resources.
Strohl is a member of Lehigh’s Tower Society and contributed significantly to the Linderman Library renovation project and the STEPS Facility. His generosity resulted in the naming of the Strohl Family Information Center, the Dale Strohl e-Stations and the Dale Strohl Stairway Lounge, all in Linderman. His support of STEPS provided the funding for the “Hub of Life” art installation and outdoor courtyard.
Thanks to Strohl’s vision to encourage research, every year, many undergraduate Lehigh students enrolled in the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities in the College of Arts and Sciences benefit from grants and fellowships that allow them to pursue student-initiated, faculty-mentored research.
Strohl currently resides in Princeton, NJ and Longboat Key, FL. He has a daughter, Laura, and a granddaughter, Maya.
