Patricia and Carl Greer ’62 have made it a priority to ensure that the most deserving students have a place at Lehigh regardless of their economic background. They established the Patricia and Carl Greer ’62 Scholarship in 2013, which aims to provide funding and a support network for underrepresented students pursuing engineering studies. Over the years the Greers have continued to contribute to the academic experiences of talented Lehigh students. Patricia and Carl are members of the Tower Society, the Asa Packer Society, and the South Mountain Society.
Carl received his Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgy and materials engineering in 1962, and then earned a PhD in business administration from Columbia University. He later received his PsyD in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Carl has had a diverse career. He has been a finance professor, an entrepreneur, as well as an author, clinical psychologist, Jungian analyst, and shamanic practitioner. Patricia has a PhD in clinical psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and is a Jungian analyst and author.
Through the Greer Foundation, Patricia and Carl have supported many initiatives in Chicago, the surrounding community, and around the world. The 60 plus organizations supported by the Foundation provide health, education, and employment services to vulnerable members of our population and people in need.
Patricia and Carl have six children and fourteen grandchildren. They currently reside in Wheaton, IL.
