Throughout his lifetime, Paul Preis ’54 made over 100 gifts to Lehigh University. Perhaps none are more impactful than his bequest to establish the Ella & Julius Preis & Paul H. Preis ’54 Endowed Scholarship. For years to come, this fund will support students majoring in accounting, finance, or engineering as they earn their degrees and prepare to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Paul himself received his degree in Business Administration at Lehigh, and he then earned his Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University. Paul served in the Army and was stationed in Korea in the late 1950s. He was vice president and comptroller for Jersey Central Power and Light before he retired in 1994, after 33 years with the company.
Paul was a member of the Tower Society and the Asa Packer Society. He passed away in 2017.
