The Claytons are long-time members of the Asa Packer Society and the Tower Society. In recognition for this gift, the historic University Center was renamed the Clayton University Center. Their generous contributions over the years include supporting the Annual Fund, the Athletics Partnership Program, and the Dean’s Strategic Initiative Fund. Wanting to see students compete successfully in a global environment beyond graduation, they established the Lisa A. and Kevin L. Clayton ’84 Endowed Scholarship Fund to support students enrolled in South Mountain College, a residential academic program that focuses on interdisciplinary learning. In honor of Kevin’s parents, they created the William L. and Carol L. Clayton Endowed Scholarship Fund. William Clayton ’51, ’87H served on Lehigh University’s Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1999.
